Trekking is not just a means of livelihood for
us, it is a passion. And so don't be surprised if the trek leader is one of the
founder members of company. Yes, to date, without fail, the founders lead at
least one trek in a year. And not only the founders, every team member breathes
the same spirit and passion of trekking. This is the key criterion we use to
select our team members. Not only this as a matter of policy, we keep evolving
newer itineraries and treks in an attempt to give our clients maximum value of
money and preference of time.
During these period , we have proved ourselves quite strong & dependable in the

Your trekking and rafting crews will be local staff with
a wealth of experience of the Himalayas. There will be a group leader, fluent
in English and trained in wilderness first aid and emergency procedures to
assist you and answer your questions. They will ensure that your trip goes
smoothly and we would ask you to accept the leader's authority at all times,
as they always have your welfare in mind. Whilst trekking, your BlueSage crew
will consist of a number of sherpas and porters in addition to the leader, as
well as a kitchen crew for camping treks. Your relationship with the crew will
be one of the most memorable aspects of your trip and many lasting friendships
are made during the treks. Please take every opportunity to talk to the local
people and the crews, as these conversations will prove to be a rewarding
experience.
Security - The locals are friendly people, but remember
that in their eyes you have an unimaginable wealth. Leave your expensive items
at home and keep large banknotes separate from small ones when you go shopping.
It is rare to hear of a tourist being robbed, but unguarded belongings may
provide easy pickings.
Cultural dos and don’ts
Avoid wearing revealing clothing. Shorts are OK when
trekking as long as they are not high cut, but around town and in a local
household it is unacceptable for men or woman to wear shorts or tops that bare
the shoulders. It's much better to wear a loose skirt or long baggy trousers,
which will also protect you from the sun.
You will never see overt displays of affection between men
and women, so please respect their culture and avoid public displays of
intimacy.
Please remove your shoes before entering a home, temple or
monastery. Many temples are closed to non-Hindus, so check before going inside.
Always ask permission before taking photographs of people.
All
members of the U.F.O. (Uttaranchal Finest Outdoor Adventure).
All members of the I.M.F. (Indian Mountain Federation).
All members of the ATOAI (Adv. Tour Operators Association of
India).
The
team is completed with porters, depending on the size of the trekkers group.
And
there is a cook of course.
In
case of accidents, the guides have a medicationkit and a mobilofoon to contact
the doctor.
Next
to this, they have a direct contact with the military camp in Joshimath
and
the agreement they will come by helicopter in urgent cases.
The
guides have their own quiet campingplaces, near watersources all along the
treks.
They
take all necessary supplies with them to camp and enjoy.
And
before leaving for a trek, you choose your menus.
